The Association of Clinical and Public Health Nutritionists in Finland, RTY, is the educational and professional interest organisation for nutritionists in Finland. RTY is a member organisation of the Finnish Association of Agronomists.
RTY works to promote development in the field of nutrition and health education. It submits proposals and issues statements on nutritional topics of general interest.
RTY was founded in 1970 and it has grown steadily to its present membership total of over 700.
Members have a Master of Science degree in nutrition, clinical nutrition and food sciences. Many members undertake post-graduate research to a doctoral level.
Members' scientific background is extensive, covering knowledge of food and nutrition as well as other related disciplines, for example chemistry, biochemistry, physiology, medicine, psychology and the social sciences.
The competence of authorized nutritionists is monitored and controlled by the National Board of Medicolegal Affairs.
Members work in the following fields: clinical and community health nutrition, research, consultancy, education, industry and catering services.

The department of clinical nutrition was founded in 1983 and it is a part of the faculty of medicine.
